His Excellency the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Najeeb Mansour Al-Awj, affirmed the ministry’s keenness to expand the relationship of cooperation and partnership with the United Nations Development Program and all international organizations and institutions in various aspects.
This came during a meeting between His Excellency the Minister of Communications today in the capital, Aden, with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program - Acting General Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen, Mr. (OK Lotsma), where he discussed aspects of strengthening bilateral cooperation and joint coordination mechanisms
Minister Al-Ouj stressed the provision of all necessary facilities to all international organizations and institutions operating in Aden and all Yemen, and the importance of coordinating organizations with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
The two sides also discussed the possibility of supporting virtual education in schools, universities and other facilities and service sectors such as health, business and banking sectors in light of the Corona pandemic.
The minister also referred to the efforts made by the ministry, with the assistance and support of the Prime Minister, in the telecommunications and Internet sector.
For his part, the UN official expressed to His Excellency the Minister of Communications, his aspiration for joint work with the Ministry and its various sectors.

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Najeeb Al-Awj, said that the communications and Internet sector will witness a qualitative leap during the next stage, given the importance of this sector in promoting the level of all other sectors and achieving sustainable development.

During his presidency in the temporary capital, Aden, on Sunday, he confirmed an expanded meeting that included the leaders and employees of the ministry, "The government will give great attention to the communications and Internet sector, which will witness a qualitative leap during the next stage, given the importance of this sector in improving the level of all other sectors and achieving sustainable development," according to the Sabaa Agency Governmental.

The meeting discussed "plans and directions for the next phase in the new year 2021 AD and the difficulties and obstacles that faced the workflow of the ministry and its various sectors during the last stage to address them and overcome them with the solidarity and cooperation of everyone and work in the spirit of one team."

Today, Thursday, 01/14/2021, in the Ministry’s General Office,
the first expanded meeting of the Ministry of Communications
and Information Technology was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Najeeb Al-Awj, Minister of Communications

The meeting was devoted to discussing the plans presented by
the heads of departments, offices and institutions of
the ministry with the aim of diagnosing the current situation
and future requirements for the year 2021, with this year
being a year for communications and information technology.

The minister spoke during the meeting, saying:
“The Ministry of Communications has two components: 
a service side and an essential and financial auxiliary
